In an ideal society, everyone contributes and everyone eats. This was the operating principle of a very successful, stable and long-lived Carribean culture of the past. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by the white men who come to bring them “civilization.”

Civilizations and societies of the past have always contained the seeds of their own destruction in the form of “takers” who sap the strength of the producers without contributing anything in exchange for what they receive. Everyone can’t eat unless everyone contributes.
